Part-time children join St Florence school the term following the third birthday. They become full time the term following their fourth birthday. The September following their eleventh birthday they will transfer to secondary school. Most children join Greenhill School in Tenby but parents may apply to an alternative school if they wish.

Currently pupils are taught in three classes:
Nursery, Reception, Years 1 and 2      Mrs. A. Hobbs
Years 3 and 4                                       Mrs. J. Davies
Years 5 and 6                                       Mr. J. Allen

Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2

The Foundation Phase class consists of Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children who are taught in a spacious, colourful and lively classroom environment. With a recently added extension for messy and wet play activities; the classroom consists of various zones to enhance children’s learning through play allowing every child the opportunity to shine. Key Stage 2 classes consist of Class 2 where year 3 and 4 pupils are taught and Class 3 where year 5 and 6 pupils are taught.  All classes have direct access to the outdoors. We ensure that we deliver a curriculum which is fun, motivating, interesting and most importantly purposeful, where pupils are suitably challenged whilst making the most of our outdoor space and our beautiful Pembrokeshire.

We aim to develop imagination through a stimulating, creative environment.
We are fortunate to have a large outdoor space which is fully utilised and features a spacious grassed area, a willow dome, a mud kitchen, and a lovely open space for the children to play and extend their learning. Foundation Phase also has its own playground with a brand new Viking Ship play area which our children love to have fun in. We particularly enjoy exploring outside on a daily basis during various planned activities – whatever the weather wearing our all in one waterproof suits and wellies!

St Florence V.C School are extremely proud of the close knit  team which work closely together resulting in us knowing every child’s individual needs. We strive to ensure that each and every child has the best possible start in education, and make certain that it is a special and memorable experience so they can flourish as individuals and achieve their best in everything which they do.
