CHARITIES WE SUPPORT

If the world were a single village of 100 people, 28 would have no access to clean water, 18 would have no toilet of their own, 25 would have no soap or sanitation, 35 would have no access to a healthy and balanced diet and 5 of the youngest would die each year due to water related diseases.

St Florence school have recently joined forces with Khandel Light – a charity supporting those who could not be further away geographically, but could not be closer to our hearts spiritually. Please take some time to read about Khandel Light and the work that they do.

Khandel Light works tirelessly to change the statistics on our village of 100 people, aiming to increase the number of villagers that strive and live clean, healthy lives and reduce the number of those suffering in a world that should and could be equal.

Please see below some of the other wonderful, many local, charities that we have worked, and continue to work, with.

We held a wonderful coffee morning and raised over £230.

British Heart Foundation

This charity is particularly important to one of our families so the children raised £91.50  by playing old-fashioned games in school.   This amount was match funded by the Friends of the School.

A cheque for £183 will be presented to the British Heart Foundatlon

The School Council visited PATCH in Milford Haven with the donations from our Harvest Festival.

They were shown around the building and as they went from room to room it was explained how their donations would be used to make food parcels.

Raising money for Children in Need by climbing the height of Mount Everest!

We supported our parents and friends who took part in the Iron Man challenge.

St. Florence Church

The tower of the Church needs major restoration and to access a Lottery grant the Church needed to raise a considerable amount of money. Our school children supported this by laying coins from the gate to the main church door and raised £200.
